CONDITIONS

BOOKINGS
At the time of booking a $400 deposit is required, which is part of the listed hire price. The balance of hire owing along with a bond is required at time of boarding during off peak times. For school holiday bookings, full payment of balance owing is due 30 days before boarding date. Payment may be made by cash, bank cheque, personal/business cheque, mastercard, or visa card (a 2.5% surcharge applies to credit card payment)

BOND
A $900 bond is required. Expenses are deducted from this bond. On return of the boat hired, the boat will be inspected. Fuel used and any additional requested supplies will be deducted along with any damage to or extra cleaning of the boat or equipment. The balance of your bond will be refunded to you usually within a week of your return. Management reserves the right to increase the bond.

BOARDING AND DEPARTURE TIMES
We are very flexible with these times. Whenever possible we allow you to board early in the morning and return the boat early to mid afternoon on the day of return. Depending on demands, we may need to have you board the boat at the official time of 1pm and disembark at 9am on day of departure.

ENVIRONMENTAL / WASTE CHARGE
An environmental levy of $5 per person per day applies, capped at $150 per hire.

CANCELLATIONS
After booking, in the event of a cancellation, your deposit is refundable less a cancellation fee of $200 if a minimum of 60 days notice is given and provided the boat is relet for the same period as the cancellation. Cancellation should be in writing.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
Firearms and pets are prohibited on board by law. No licence is required to operate the houseboats. The skipper must be 21 years of age or over and management needs to sight a driver's licence as confirmation. A medical disclosure form must be signed before hire commences. Current DPI fishing regulations apply. Passenger numbers must not exceed the number the houseboat is in survey to accommodate.

OTHER CONDITIONS OF HIRE
The skipper must sign a charter agreement and briefing notes.  Prices may be subject to change without notice. Should you require that we accommodate your vehicle while you are aboard the houseboat, all care will be taken, but management will not be held responsible for damages incurred to the vehicle. In the unlikely event that a vessel becomes unavailable, a substitute vessel may be supplied. However management will not be held liable for any loss or expenses incurred by you due to a vessel becoming unavailable for hire. If you wish to tow your own boat, aluminium boats up to 4.5m are acceptable. Larger aluminium boats and fiberglass boats must be driven. Bring fenders for additional boats.

SERVICES

For your convenience not only is quality linen, doonas and pillows supplied, beds are made up for you. Personal towels, toilet paper and soap, tea-towels, dishwashing liquid and cloths, scourers, pegs etc are provided.

The galley is fully equipped with quality crockery, cutlery, stainless pots and pans and cooking utensils. Use of crab pots, yabby pump, tender boat fuel and gas, fenders, adult & childrens lifejackets are all included in hire price.

For your complete peace of mind we offer to accommodate your vehicle/s for the duration of your houseboat holiday (see booking form).  

For a small fee supplies will be purchased for you and placed aboard or boated out to you.  
A full briefing is given by a qualified coxswain on the operation and safety aspects of the vessel being hired.  Aboard each vessel is an operations manual and comprehensive chart of cruising area.
